It has been a heck of a year...

Hi Friends! We hope this message finds you well, planning for more holiday adventures in the month to come. This year has been...well...a lot, right? The sheer madness of the news cycle has made many of us feel helpless to say the least. At this point, you may even be tired of hearing the words “the news cycle”-- forgive us-- we too have felt helpless at times this year, and we are looking for hope in the year to come.

One of the ways we find inspiration in everyday life is by bringing people together to make theater. No matter what plays we decide to work on, The Syndicate can always agree on the why: live performance is a community undertaking that fosters human connection and creates spaces where people can be themselves. In 2018, The Syndicate:

  • Produced Syndicated- our biggest undertaking to date!- at IRT Theater in NYC, which included the premieres of Bluets, Tiny Errors at the End of the Millennium, and First Read- our new play readings series centering TGNC artists

  • Traveled to Juniata College in Pennsylvania to train in Suzuki and Viewpoints, develop new projects, and spend time with students

  • Threw a spectacular 4th Birthday Party at 727 CREATE in Brooklyn

  • Reached our Spring Fundraiser goal of $13,000

  • Co-produced Another Jungle with Cloudgate Theatre at Pride Arts Center in Chicago

We have accomplished more in our 4th year than ever before, and we are excited to keep growing with you. As you wrap up your end-of-year giving, if you would like to make a tax deductible contribution to The Syndicate, there are two ways to give:

  • Head over to our Fractured Atlas page to make a donation online

  • Make a check out to "Fractured Atlas" with memo line “The Syndicate” and mail it to Megan P. Hanley at 1710 Avenue H Apt. B4 Brooklyn, NY 11230

We know you have a lot of worthy causes to contribute to, especially at this time of year, and we don’t take your donations lightly! You will help fund next years' efforts to bring more plays by  women, queer, and trans artists to the stage. We are tremendously grateful for all of your support, in all the ways you give it. Thank you for being our community. The Syndicate wishes you and the people you love a happy holiday season.

Alanna, Andrea, Elle, Emily, Jackie, Janouke, Leigh, and Megan

Thank you so much for your continued support.

The Syndicate is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas.
